Comfort Zone !!

Hi guys,

This is a question with a bit of a double edge to it, so your answer must be careful and honest...

Okay, the question is: How many watches would YOU be TRULY COMFORTABLE owning? Remember, it's not about affordability (or non-affordability for that matter)....it's only about your Comfort Zone with the number of watches you have in your collection.

For example, I am truly comfy with just trying to manage TWO watches at a time. How many more one aspires (or can afford) is a different issue here.

So tell us and don't hold back. How many watches make you really feel very, very comfortable?

JJ

If I were to try to answer the question seriously, I would probably say 2. One for every day wear and one for dress. But in reality, I need one for most every day, one for normal business dress, one for black tie wear, and one for when I sit on the beach and need to time when to turn over. Beyond that, I need several to change off to when I get bored wearing any of those four. So I guess I haven't reached my comfort zone yet. Because there are still at least a couple more I want.

My honest answer would be one. The only reason I have more than one is because I can afford to.

I also am a 2 watch guy JJ. I hate the idea of having watches that I love just sitting in a drawer.

I have been at three for awhile now and I think that is a good number for me. I usually rotate two and the third gets a little love thrown in. The only problem I have is remembering which three that I currently have at any given time.

Right now the two Rolex (YM and GMT) and the one Pam (27) are the combination, but three would be my comfort number. Like Adrian said, I own more than one cause I am lucky enough to be able to afford them.

Wish was only one,but when you get the watch collecting bug it gets addictive.Myself like the vintage stuff,if only some of these old watches could talk. That VC was in worn in the 1914-18 war,all the scuffs scratches
give them character. The £5 Rolex Unicorn traced the history on that one,by
the service marks scratched on to the silver case back.It had been serviced
in the same jewellers shop in Sheffield, from 1922 till 1955,then some how found its way to a boot sale in Hereford.I like all mechanical watches from any brand,Rolex to a Smiths, its not so important to me now, to what name is on the dial .
