That string looks like it would be uncomfortable on the wrist JJ.

Thanks, Al...Yes, it is the all solid clasp with all solid centre links....one of the best clasps Rolex has ever produced.

I had saved it from the other forum when someone had posted it. I knew it would come in handy some day!!

Crazy question. What's so special about the Daytona clasp? They look really good and people are always saying how wonderful they are. So what is the main difference?

It's not so much that the clasp is specific to the Daytona. It's a flip lock clasp which makes it more secure than the standard Jubilee clasp. The GMT has the same flip lock.

Milled from a solid block of metal instead of folded sheet metal perhaps? I'm not really shure. This is so on a SD.

Woa, that was fast. Thanks guys. Perosonally it looks like the Daytona clasp is sturdier and more comforatble looking.

I would say it "feels" more sturdy. I know the original clasp has not had problems that I know of. As far as comfort, the Daytona clasp is, but only by a very small fraction.

That sounds like pure genius. It's also crazy enough to be deadly and to work.

Before you do that, make sure who's really in control: mom or dad! This is to prevent disapointment.

I wasn't talking about myself pal. When I come home I tell everybody to shut up and do as I say, and they obey. At least, that is what I think they do because goldfish don't say very much.

After Anne returns home it is all back to normal of course: yes dear, no dear!
