5320 vs 5236
I am debating whether I should get 5320g or 5236p
This will be my first patek with my name on it. I absolutely love the dial of both watches, but I am having hard time making decision. Please share your opinion and reason Thank you. |

If I were buying for myself, would go with 5236. Cannot pull off 5320 due to skin tone.

Definitely the 5236, plus you get the added benefit/weight of platinum.

5320G.
This is what I did and am happy with my decision. 5236P has the platinum going for it which I always prefer. |

5236 in my view. Not a big fan of the 5320 hands nor dial colour (obviously 100% subjectivity here :D). The blue dial is just amazing!

If you want 5270P, save up and buy it. Its much better watch over 5320 and 5236 you mentioned. 5270P, retail at AD in states is $205,810. Plus salmon dial, its a collector piece!!! If you are staying with 5320 or 5236: then I will grab 5236 if you are able to buy it. 5236 will be hot piece for 1-2 years and no discounts on them. 5320 you can grab with some discount and easier to grab from ADs. Good luck and share what route you go.

Have you tried both of them on your wrist? Which do you like better?
Watches at this price level should definitely be tried on before making a purchase decision. I have tried on the 5320, but not the 5236. However I usually recommend a platinum piece over a gold piece in the PC category if pricing is acceptable. I own two PCs and they are both platinum, so I have a preference for platinum PCs. |

Subjective or what? Try this for bias! No offence intended to the 5235p-ers. XX
I agree with Country Boy’s choice of the 5320G. I tried and compared the 5235P and was underwhelmed. The two tone blue I found a bit tacky and the ‘car number plate’ date indicator stood out too much against the blue with imbalanced skinny hands. The 5320 is more in line with the PP heritage, following on as it does from a string of like-styled predecessors. The 5235P tries a bit too hard to be ‘modern’ and young and as such has lost it’s PP heritage and recognisable design heritage. On the downside, ;-) the 5230G is a fantastic time keeper, okay, the brown strap might be little on the military side for some. |

I tried both on my wrist. For 5236p, I loved the dial color and the texture. Also, the case was beautiful. However, I disliked the size. 41.3mm to me felt like out of tradition
For 5320g, I liked the dial layout. Also the size was perfect, but lug was really not to my taste. I think Ill get whatever I can get faster. My AD said they only get 1 piece a year... dont know if that is true but... what can I say |

I would go for 5320g… love the proportions and dial. The layout on the 5236 just bothers me and I can’t get past it.
