Will RSC change a dial for you?
I was curious what the "rules" to have a dial changed on a 126334. Can you request to have it done. Any idea what the cost would be? Looking for a blue dial with sticks. Nothing fancy.

I inquired regarding my OF Daytona and they said need to wait 5 years before they would consider a dial swap.

No dial swaps allowed if the watch is within the five year warranty period. This took effect May 2022 and is a global policy.
Dial exchanges in the event of damage is allowed (replacing with same color). |

Well read somewhere there’s a way around that, but more expensive. If you take your watch to RSC without the warranty card / purchasing receipt from an AD, claiming you don’t have it, then you don’t have warranty on the watch. You could then ask for a service (about $800 and will get 2 year warranty / card) and in the process should be able to ask / pay for the dial swap (they would keep the older one).
Most non diamond / special dial are under $500 so for about $1400 you could in fact get a new dial without waiting for the 5 year period. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Good information to know.

The diamond dials get extremely pricey. I've asked and anything involving baguettes is at least $8.5k and the pave dials are $25k.
They also keep the old dial. |

I have a TT SkyD and I have been contemplating having RSC replace the champagne dial with the blue from the SS… after the warranty period ends, do you think they would actually do that for me?

I swapped my dial (and handset) on a DJ, but that was about 10 years ago now. The watch was only 6 months or so old when I did it. |

Yes, this is correct, you can’t make a watch something it wasn’t when it left the factory.
In short, you can’t put a better dial in a lesser watch. Upscaling like that is not allowed. |

It would only make sense if you could keep the original dial so the watch would always be as original and match the paperwork when you wanted it that way.

Would look crap as well with white gold Indecise surrounds that won’t match the hands.

Probably. But you see what I mean, sometimes I’m perplexed why they don’t bring a few of the other variants into production. The same is true for the LV bezel on a 124060. Of course the crown knows best and it makes no difference what I want haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I guess depends on which dial you want.
Best to ask the RSC yourself so you know first hand

I was thinking of changing my silver dial to a blue dial. Still a 126334. But it's new. Maybe 5 years from now.

These policies are one of the reasons why certain loose factory Rolex dials are extremely expensive on the secondhand/grey market along with parts like the Arabic calendar discs.
Most ADs simply refuse to order them for you. |

As everyone said it’s 5 years, but Rolex also said they won’t change the dial to make a differing model.
I know all OP41 dials share the same model number, but not sure about Daytona’s, etc |
