Icon5 Rolex GMT Master II, 2005, caliber 3185/3186

I have read in 3 publications that the GMT Master II was fitted with the caliber 3186 in 2005. Does anybody know the exact date when the first whatches were fitted with caliber 3186 in 2005? Alteratively does anybody know the serial numbers of the watches with caliber 3186 in 2005?
If not, maybe somebody can provide further informations due to this topic.
Thank you in advance

If you found your GMT Master II that the "II" on the dial is not in "Roman" font but is like only two sticks "ll". It is higher possibility that it is with 3186 caliber.

Err buddies...welcome to this wonderful TRF webforums...

Some D Case Series 16710 GMT "2"...do possess the illusive Dial Plots of "GMT 11"...
instead of the usual Dial Plots of "GMT II"(Roman II)...
BUT not all D Series GMT II has it...n ALL D Case Series has Cal.3185 movement.

Some LATE Z Case Series 16710 GMT II(Roman II)...are said to possess the new Cal.3186 movement...

The remaining last series of production for 16710 GMT II...is until M Case Series...
n these M Case Series 16710 GMT II...do have the new Cal. 3186 movement...

n they do possess the illusive illusive Dial Plots of "GMT 11"...

From below article we can have more understanding on this 16710-3186 model. It apparaently appeared from the end of Z series to the end of M series. And those would have that 2 sticks (ll) rather than romans (II) on the dial.

like master Orchi said

I have 2 M with stick dials and have with the 3186, and a late Z96xxxxx that also has the 3186, this one has the rectangle like II instead of the stick or the roman numeral II

There's one offered right now on TZ with a Z87xxxx serial and stick dial, the seller claims that it has the 3186 as well.

I have a 16710B, serial Z-873xxx that has the 3186, and an arabic (sticks) two. It is a Pepsi, of course ("B"). I was quite surprised to see the 3186 in a serial number this low, and haven't heard of any other 873's in the US.

For sure M serial with 3186. But need to open the back if you have Z serial. Z serial is so random...

But, most of Z9xxxx serial has 3186 ^^;
