From the beginning I told my AD that please let me know if they get Daytona Rainbow.
Two months ago, they called me and told me that they didn't get Daytona Rainbow in the last two years but they just got RG GMT with Sapphire and Ruby. I went to look at it and fell in love at first sight, so I took it. I love both Daytona Rainbow and GMT with Sapphire and Ruby.

Spoke to an AD ..has seen one Rainbow Daytona and one SABR Sub .
Rainbow Daytona would have been an excellent buy ,looking at market pricing now.Since this is an investment forum .. Many knock these references, but havent seen them in the metal .How do you knock it when you havent seen it ? I have seen a few, believe me ,they are IMPRESSIVE ! Not a daily wearer for me,but as a beautiful creation ? Undeniable |

Oddly enough this is the only rose gold Rolex I’ve actually had my hands on. I was chatting with my AD several months ago and they had behind the counter for another customer. They let me try it and several very unique day-dates. It was a fantastic watch in person, but not really my style. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would definitely go with the baguettey spaghetti ice blue platinum Daytona instead in my fantasy world. It’s a lot more wearable and probably more attainable

What's better or on the same level as Rolex Daytona Rainbow, well that would depend on the person looking at it and there opinions. Speaking for myself not a fan but admire the skill of the precious stone setting. I have quite simple tastes and would not even swap my 16600 SD for any Daytona no matter the metal precious stones or price.

It’s difficult to find a watch as hideous as the rainbow Daytona.

Same level? Well the SS version despite its flaws is far closer to its real heritage. The rainbow is simply a blinged out homage version to the Daytona. Simply like commemorative coin, flashier but not the real deal. This watch is so far from the intended DNA of the Daytona is may as well be a bracelet. The only real appeal is it’s wrist presence if folks want/need attention as it makes a watch with low legibility almost impossible. Now, I have no issues and to each his/her own, but this watch is not “above” any other Daytona unless one counts bling factor and no, nothing tops it. The SS Daytona has the same movement and far closer to the original DNA so no, this model is a far cry from that.
