5575 vs 5975
Which model do you guys prefer and why? The complications on either model aren't exceedingly useful in the modern world so I assume the choice comes down to aesthetics and perceived collectibility. In fact, the legibility of the 5575 is such that it's probably an impractical watch in most circumstances.
I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on this and their rationale. |

For me the 5575 but the RG 5975 is a beauty. I think the world time function of the 5575, if for nothing else, is an interesting complication especially with the new moon phase!

Watches for $50K are not practical at all but we love them and wear them because they are pieces of art. Who cares how legible it is. We know time and date anyway from all displays that surround us.

Not a fan of the 5975 at all simple reason aesthetics. The 5575 is a different story and the dial is absolutely beautiful. It is a bit dark or tough to see hands but the dial makes up for it.

I think both are beautiful, but I'd go 5975. Not really a moon phase fan.

5575 but I do like the 5975g.
The dial on the chrono is just too busy. |

5975 would make a great casual wear chrono.

For 56K USD on the 5575 I had better be able to see the time than have bragging rights. Pass for me !

Love the 5575, but holding out for 5131. If it had a clear case back, id be all over it.

Not at all. It's beautiful. Maybe we could compromise with a hunter case???

Just saw the 5575 in person. The case even though it is WG almost looks like it could be titanium with a darker finish. Otherwise the dial is beautiful and Patek did well with this 175th anniversary watch.
As for the 5975, I got to see the 5975R in person. I wore my 5170 in to compare and I have to say the 5170 is a nicer watch, although the list price is $20K higher, so it is not a fair comparison. |

5575 for me, love the world time and I think the moonphase adds a nice touch. I noticed the same thing jon_jon did...the white gold on this piece is a grayish color.

Definitely the 5575! I presume they are already all sold out?
