For the WIS that has everything!!

I am not one that agonizes over the accuracy of my watches. That being said I know that some hold their high end mechanical timepieces to strict accuracy standards and for them this would be awesome.

Sounds like a fancy remote mic for an app to me...?

These are much cheaper, though I can't vouch for them:

Any opinions on comparable accuracy or features between these app?

Agree, I'd go with an app or a timegrapher that adjusts for 6 positions like what watchmakers use like that one.

I have tried Kello and I would not waste your Money. It kind of works OK on newer fast beat Movements but on older Watches it won't work at all for me.

Interesting info and options.

So it looks cool but it seems there are several ways to get the same job done at a fraction...of course the same could be said for our high end wrist wear

has anyone tried the apps? I think I might pick up the one in the video but I don't know how I would figure out the lift angles of different movements. I'm kind of OCD about how accurate my watches are and would like to test a watch before I purchase it.

Take my advice all this sort of stuff can be a Rolex owners worst enemy.I am sure that 98% of all Rolex watches perform to a couple of seconds a day.Now just a simple check with any reliable time source can check watch is within a second or so.And none of these apps are 100% accurate they are only as good as what the microphone is on whatever phone some apple phones are not so good.

The Acetimer or Timegraphers are much more like a real Witschi.
With a timegrapher, you can put the watch in many different positions while measuring. Its not possible when you do that with an app.

So when you are a watchmaker, you should use a witshi or timegrapher. Even when you want to measure the accuracy in more than 1 different position you should use one of those.
When you just want a fancy gimmick just for fun, you could measure your watch with an app, either with or without an external microphone.

+1

I love my ACE TIMER; works great; easy to learn; makes regulating any watch pretty straight forward. And the price was less than $200 delivered...

Hi, I am Watch Tuner's author. Can you say something more about your experience with the app? Your feedback would help me a lot.

After playing with the app for a few more weeks I still can't get it to work. I know how fast my watches run and I can't get data that correlates with what I already know. I have tried using different mics and tried positioning the mic on different parts of the watch. Maybe I'm not using the program correctly but I wouldn't recommend buying the app.
