On Which Side of the Wrist Bone?

Should watch be worn on the hand side or the other side?

I believe it is a matter of personal preference but is there a generally accepted answer to this?

Please don't answer above or below as those answers are ambiguous.

If you can set up a poll, please do so.

My band is loose enough that I can wear it either way.

Sometimes it sits in the hand side. Other times not.

I like to be able to move it to either side

Usually to the left of my wrist bone (before the wrist bone) unless my wrist shrinks, which it sometimes does, then It will either be between the wrist bone and the wrist or on the left side of my wrist bone. I prefer the left side of my wrist bone to be where my watch resides. It's classy to have it on the left side of the wrist bone. President Obama wears his on the left side and he's the most powerful man on Earth.

Arm side (which I think is also both above and left of the wrist bone)

I've worn a watch for about 55 years and it never once occurred to me that it would be worn anywhere except on the elbow side of the wrist-bone.

I have always worn mine on the hand side of the wristbone. I could not wear it any other way.

Well I'm a wrong wrister so saying left side doesn't really help. I wear mine on the elbow side.

Either on the wrist bone or arm side. I am fortunate to have a wrist bone that fits nicely with most watch cases.

Above the bone, toward the elbow, not too tight for me. The head of my ulna protrudes noticeably.

Elbow side for me too. I was told that is why the lugs are sharped the way they are on most watches. Yes, I can see how the shape would benefit the hand side as well... but ... that's just crazy!

I wear mine on the elbow side of my wrist bone. I find it more comfortable because it does not bind if I bend my wrist.
Even though I don't have any empirical evidence, I believe wearing a metal band watch loosely below the wrist bone may accelerate the wear and stretch due to the flexing and forces placed on the band at the wider part of your wrist. This stretch may be more pronounced on a softer PM band versus a SS band.

Wristwatches are designed and constructed to be worn above the wrist bone. Otherwise, ever time you move your hand, the watch strap or bracelet and or pins are constantly getting over worked. That equates to costly repairs. Many prefer to wear Rolex's like bangles, that is their prerogative, not for me, but each to their own.
