Contemplating buying a vintage golden ellipse
I’m playing with the thought of buying a vontage golden ellipse from the eighties.
Ideally precious metal on a bracelet. Any members out there with daily wear experience (work, leisure) and photos? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I bought one new in about 1973 - my first Patek. I couldn't wash my hands without getting water inside so sold it. But I wish I still had it for special occasions.

I'm not sure but maybe a 4226 or 3546. I recall it had lugs.

The old ones are awfully small, iirc. That would make it a no for me, with 7.2” wrist.

A little too small to wear regularly but I enjoy it nonetheless.

When purchasing an older GE, check to see if it comes with original buckle. Many will have after market buckle, although some will have replacement Patek buckle that may or may not be from the correct time period.
If you are purchasing GE on a bracelet, there is a good chance it is the original bracelet, although it can also be after market bracelet. |

This is gold. Thank you I’ll keep in mind. Any more GE owners in here? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
