How deep has your dive watch been?

Just curious. Let's hear the deepest your watch has ever been. And lets just skip the 5ft swimming pool jokes up front.. a thank you.

Oh, and pics get you extra points! lol

I've taken my GMT-IIc into many swimming pools, and even snorkeling a few times. My Omega Planet Ocean has gone down 110ft once, and up to 60ft many times.

Mmm, it was around 150 ft (I'm traveling and I don't have my dive log with me). No pictures, though. I'm not yet into underwater photography, I'm still freaking out when I think about how much $$$ it would take to gear up for that (housing, strobes, etc).

Sub has been to 125 FT too many times to count. Avid spear fisherman and the wreck we frequent bottoms out at 130. FWIW we do dive Nitrox

My Sub's only been down about 15 meters, in the bottom of Hamilton Harbour. The heavy metals down there are probably the reason the tritium lume on this N seral watch still glows.

Well IMHO if you use nitrox 32 or nitrox 36 for non-stop diving. The safe depth limits for Nitrox are 30m around 98Ft for Nitrox 32 and for Nitrox 36 35m around 115 Ft respectively.

My guess is that the diver is going to need a "service" before the watch if he keeps that up .

Just got back from Kenya - 32m with Sea Dweller.

I do not like very deep dives - poor visibility, little time on the bottom and you spend all your time on safety stops.

Only if you need to go deep to observe a group of Hammerhead Sharks - only exception.

Years ago, in the Navy the daily dives were at around 20 m. These were done on Subs, Dates and ND.

During training or in “operations”, 40 m were also common. Diving in barrel training, in Neustandt in Germany the 33 m total height was compulsory.

Nowadays, the 5-20 m range is also a daily reach, especially or rather strictly during summer period when I underwater hunting fish and octopus. In this range I have used all my watches, DJ, AK Subs and GMT’s, even when the old models were proof only for 50 m. Never had a leak or other problem, besides the scratches from rocks or the fishing equipment.

Though I would love some sub-water photos or videos, I never owned such a camera, and when I get into the water, I prefer my gun instead.

The reasons are obvious !!!!!

Ahh, I recognise that place! I've been on that exotic location with my Explorer 14270 once, and it is only good for 100 meters, but it made it without problems. And so did I.
