Did you think that the Hulk was supposed to be something more than a slightly different version of the black-bezel one?
Not quite true right? The original kermit actually did have a different dial right, it was a maxi dial before the maxi case.

I understand what he's saying, the 126610LV "feels" like a parts bin watch where it was left over bezels from the hulks slapped on the LN watches as there is no hands differences etc like on BLNR vs BLRO.

Of course this isn't true, but I understand what he "feels".

Brutal... Like putting the oyster bracelet on the GMT(eviscerating the WG) and killing any unique interest in the original batman.

I don't think there's much call for a green dial sub again. Something should have happened for the explorer II... but alas nothing. So who knows!

Unfortunately, most only see these watches on the net but don’t have a chance to witness/wear in real life. In real life the Hulk can be a bit too much. Almost like it’s trying too hard. Where’s the new Kermit is classically beautiful (as all new Subs are) but with that emerald green accent/pop that gives a “Je ne sais quoi.”

Both are spectacular pieces … one a little more in your face and the other more subdued with a pop to it. As I started this post, my preference would be based on how I would use it.

Here is my daily wearer:

I actually think the opposite. In most lighting and angles the hulk dial is close to black, so could be confused for the starbucks. But if you get a direct look or glancing flash, it's spectacularly deep green. It's a tasteful colorful watch, while pictures do make it look gaudy because nobody ever does pictures where the dial color is not apparent.

Cermit for me. I like the description above of the unruly brother or something. More lasting appeal for the cermit. For me the AR also makes a big difference and really brings the gloss black dial to life and contrasts nicely with the at times milky green bezel. I didn’t like when you get that more pastel green bezel look combined with the gold green sterioded up green dial in sunlight

With all due respect the starbucks is nice but is just another option compared to the black dial...otherwise the same watch.

Hulk or Kermit the obvious choices.

Ceramic kermit for me and had both. It's just the right amount of green for me. And the 12 series wears better. That said, the sunburst of the hulk is special, and I prefer the 11 series bracelet/clasp even though I prefer all other 12 series dimensions. So can't blame either choice, really.

Hulk for St. Patrick's Day and Halloween.
Kermit on all the other days. A much more practical, versatile watch.

I have all three and if I had to pick one, it would be very, VERY hard… and there isn’t a loser of the bunch.

I’ve been wearing the 126610LV (Cermit) for almost a year (in rotation with others), and feel it works better as a daily wear piece than the 116610LV. The hulk is louder, more wrist presence, and very green, so I tend to wear it more selectively. It’s special, and I won’t ever sell it, but it’s a special occasion kind of piece.

Although OP didn’t ask about the 16610LV (Kermit), I find myself wearing it as a daily just like the Cermit, so these two lend themselves to more regular dress/circumstances, similar to a black sub.

I enjoy the 12 redesign and profile, but it’s not noticeable to me versus the 11.

Cermit or Starbucks for me as I prefer the updated movement and the 41mm size. Hulk is the more popular choice.

The original LV with the aluminum bezel is a nice looking watch, but I have no use for the other two.

When they first came out the most brainless person I know went and bought one. We laughed at him and his silly green Rolex. They were so unfashionable then. He started adjusting his wardrobe colours to match....such an idiot. Seemingly he has now bred a whole generation of similar people who are attracted to a colour and willing to pay thousands extra for it. The FOMO crowd is alive and kicking....each other to get them. So its a NO from me...lol.

What I like about each generation:

16610LV: a very unique, transitional watch that has the older traditional cases but with Maxi dial and hands, which also is the first SS Submariner to be introduced with a green bezel that sets it apart from its 5-digit Sub siblings. Within its short production run there're also many variants in dials and bezels. Just a very interesting and IMO historically important watch in the Submariner lineup. The aluminum bezel scratches easily but I love the unique color/texture/sheen it has.

116610LV: while aesthetically speaking it is not to my taste with both green bezel and green sunburst dial, I do appreciate that it is the only Submariner to have both features, which also makes it a very special watch. The case, bracelet, and clasp are all superior to its predecessor.

126610LV: I much prefer the combination of the green ceramic bezel and black dial combo, it's more balanced for me personally. The improved/refined case and bracelet ratio also makes it look smoother and not as boxy as the 116610LV. The updated 72 hour reserve movement is also a nice bonus.

I guess it's all up to personal taste, I think most can all agree that all three are really nice watches and I'm very happy to own one of them.

Borrowed a picture from another forum:

I love the 116610LV. It is a grail watch for me. I managed to get one back in 2018 and I don't want another Sub or Sub Date with a green bezel insert. I'm done with that.

You should have the one you like the most. If you like them equally, pick one or have both.

Hulk. There’s just something more special about the only steel Sub to have a colored dial. Also the handle Hulk matches the reference now more than ever, considering it’s discontinued super case.
