"You silly little man, this is such antiquated reasoning! This is why you are the employee and I'm the boss. Obviously, the only proper thing to do is halt production and cancel the backorders! Haha, I can definitely see that conversation. What else explains for their inability to meet demands on such a inconsequent product.

I had a lot of respect for Oakley has a first and foremost, sports sunglasses company but it seems they're content to sit on their laurels.

At least Casebudi is taking notice ....

I usually don't post negative comments about companies, but this was too ridiculous. After waiting for many months of being sold out, the small watch vault was available to order again, and I eagerly purchased 3 of them (1 as a gift). 2 weeks later, I receive a sold out notification email that "the item(s) from your order are no longer available." WTF.

In addition, I had previously sent their customer care 2 emails inquiring about my order, and never received a response. It's like they don't even care about my order. Really like some of their sunglasses in the past, and the small watch vault was legendary on TRF, but I won't be buying anything from Oakley again in the near future. It seems like Oakley's online ordering and customer care are not nearly on par with other websites I shop at. Bad service Oakley.

I sent an email to Casebudi to suggest making one with the same dimensions as the Small Oakley Watch Vault referencing comparisons made on this and other forums. Maybe they will listen and corner the market!

Yes, I believe they did get a batch in and several members here received theirs after immediately placing an order on the news they had them. But between us and the Ebay opportunists they ran out in a couple of days. That's when things got weird. Those of us that called were told they were on backorder and they were getting more in and there website said "Estimated to ship in 14 days". So many of us placed orders. Now it has simply disappeared from the website and it appears they have discontinued it and canceled orders.

The only sliver of hope is that perhaps there is that last shipment coming in but this is the last of it. So maybe, just maybe, this pending shipment can fill some of the backorders and those that got in early enough on the back order list may still receive them.

I know this is slim but I for one have not yet received an email that my order has been canceled. Has anyone else with a back order NOT received a cancel notice?

My order got cancelled as well. Moved on to casebudi. It's stupid that Oakley would have this up on their site to order and then send you a cancellation later. Poor inventory management in my opinion.

has anyone received something from the recent offer or have all orders been cancelled?

I have placed an order the very first day and have not received anything - not the merchandise and not a cancellation email.

Good call! Or perhaps someone on here has already gone onto tradekey.com and sent a small Oakley vault to a factory in China and said "Make 5,000 of these!"

I hope so.

I placed an order for the 3 cases a little over a week ago. NEVER heard an update about my order and "poof", just got an email last night saying that the cases are sold out.

There is no reason for me to buy these cases no more with all the games Oakley is playing.

Same here. 3 ordered - cancellation email last night. To hell with Oakley. I have a few Casebudis and they are just fine.

Placed my order the first night they became available (7/15), and my order got cancelled. That's the biggest online order BS I've seen.

Got Cancelled e-mail as well. That's after receiving one e-mail prior that it went on back order for 6 months. From this thread it's very likely they never had small vault back in stock and it was a mistake.

By the way, somebody at Oakley's told me that the reason they don't have small vaults anymore is because they stopped making smaller sized watches about a year ago. That kind of makes sense.

My order shows "on hold" on their web site. I ordered on the 16, so I guess it is just a matter or time until I receive my email cancellation....

Actually I had checked mine the day before receiving the email as a result of comments I saw in this thread, and it said "on hold" as well.

I ordered two then a week later received an email stating they are now on back order for about 6 weeks. A few days after that I received an email stating the order has been cancelled. Bummer.

According to a response from Casebudi, they have "a smaller watch case in the pipeline, but final dimensions are not yet locked in, so your email is timely."

Yup!!! I called 4 or 5 days back after not seeing any shipping notice, and was told that they are not in fact in stock, and have been discontinued.

I got my cancellation email as well. I sent Oakley CS an email, but I really don't expect to hear anything back from them. Oakley Customer Service = oxymoron.
Too bad - they had a great product with the small watch vault. I hope some other company decides to make a similar product (SMALL vault size & construction) - I think they would sell quite a few!

These things are harder to get than the actual watches, they should be collectables.

I received the same bad news that my order has been cancelled. I sent their customer service my complaint and gave them a piece of my mind.
