Speaking of Montblanc…….

In my absence, I picked up this. Never thought I would be able to reach for it but found a spectacular deal on a used one. This is absolutely the grail pen for me! James Purdey and Sons Meisterstuck. I think it’s based on a Montblanc 146. The checkering is flawless. Seriously! It’s perfect. I went through it repeatedly looking for flaws. As I understand it, it was all done by hand. I believe the engraving is stamped on the cap in my research about the issue. Both stampings are different though. It writes about as good as all Montblancs do. No complaints. Wonderful pen! I couldn’t be happier

Yeah. That is a good find alright. Some of the Montblanc special editions are really not to my taste, but that one is pretty incredible and very tasteful. Well spotted.

Congratulations! I purchased one myself at a good price when they came out and while it was pricey, it's a beautiful pen with tremendous build quality. Enjoy!

If you look up the history of Purdy and Sons, you will certainly appreciate their contribution to all things sporting.

Montblanc's contribution to that history is nice but minimal and very well done! That pen is gorgeous! Enjoy it in the extreme!
