Any men's model with diamond indices. Just looks tacky IMHO. That said, I'm warming up to some I didn't used to like, for example the yellow gold president. Yacht Master too, the bezel is flashy but it's unique if you want a sub with a blingy bezel.

I dunno. Almost all have something going for them, at least for someone out there. I prefer to stay positive and think about the ones I like (more than enough to think about that way).

I agree with the 'Diamond on a man's watch' camp but for me the real humdinger is the DD II. . . I just do not get that watch at all which is surely the Porsche Panamera of the Rolex world?

It seems that even for Rolex, brand extension has some potential limits. I also asked because it will be interesting to see what BaselWorld 2013 brings from Rolex...something totally unforeseen in its devastating beauty...or another turd like the Leopard Daytona. For what it's worth, I doubt too many of the Loepard Daytona owner (read: singular!) are stopping by the old Rolex Forum, you know what I mean? Besides isn't proudly wearing one of those out in public "Scarlet Letter" enough? Cringe!! |

The one that is listed at a price beyond my budget at the time.
BTW...I happen to think the Leopard Daytona is a cool, funky looking watch. I love it, but I think I might be the only one. |

But I do find it unfortunate that some use words such as "hideous" and "makes me want to vomit". I feel bad for anyone who owns those models, the same way I'd feel if I witnessed someone tell a stranger that her hair was hideous. I agree with this. |

There are plenty of Rolex models that I personally wouldn't get, but I can appreciate pretty well all of them. May not be for me, but I can appreciate why they would be for someone else.
After all, we all have different tastes and no matter how out there we may be, I'm sure there's a Rolex for us. :) |

As a piece of jewelry (which the rainbow Daytona is intended to be) I think it's a work of art. It's certainly not a watch that fits my style, but I think the rainbow bezel is amazing and would love to see this model in person.

I also agree. I meant "turd" in best possible way.. I own a fairly unpopular Mercedes AMG model that gets constantly skewered on the Mercedes Benz Forums, but like you, I don't care, because there are fewer than 100 of my model year, and 243 total in the US. It is a very pretty car, just not as hard-edged as most of the other serious AMG enthusiasts prefer. In the end, I bought CPO for half the MSRP, and I will be the one laughing all the way to the bank as mine is a hundred times more rare, like your Leopard. Enjoy it if it makes YOU happy. |

All the modern Daytona range especially the so called Leopard Daytona, the new Skydweller great movement but don't like the style. And not a huge fan of any watch with the ceramic inserts or the YM11. Although I would buy the GMTC I do like that watch, but I just cannot see the point of ceramic inserts in general.

The Submariner is a great watch. The yellow gold subs are stunning. The hulk is a great collection watch that would go really well with certain situations. The smurf is very nice as well. Huge fan of vintage subs as well and in a dream world would have Comex and Mili subs.
The DJ and DJII with smooth bezel and fluted bezel. The Explorer 1 and Explorer 2 (new and old models for both) The DD and DDII in every precious metal. Quite like the Deepsea tbh. I go through days when I love it and days when I think "meh" but if I won the lottery it'd be one of the first watches I bought. The old SD as well. The GMT in SS and yellow gold. Love the green dial version as well. Pepsi/Coke GMT's are beautiful as well. I love old Daytona's. The old style and the Newman. Like a few of the watches I've mentioned it wouldn't fit me but I still like them. Several vintage pieces like the pre-daytona as well. Your post seemed to imply I disliked everything but I could easily drop one million pounds on Rolex watches without having multiples and would love every one that I bought. |

Several on my list that don't sing to me. If I have to choose which is #1, it would be the Daytona. There's just way too much going on with that dial and I especially don't like the three crowns/stems.
Daytona owners out there.....I truly mean no offense. |
