Nah, go for the Vacheron overseas. The Daytona is a great watch but no date and full retail? No thanks.
The Vacheron is amazingly well built and is just pure class and understated sporty at the same time. |

Daytona for me. It's the most sporty out of your choices.

You have 3 wildly different choices there. Perpetual Calendars are fairly expensive to maintain, so personally, that would be a bit of a factor. On the other hand, perpetuals are a cool set of complications. For me right now, I would go for the Overseas. VC is the oldest mechanical watch company in the world and they make some of the very finest watches. But the Daytona is highly sought after, so I guess your choice is going to depend on what aspects of the watch you value most highly. JLC is considered to be a top tier brand with very reasonable prices and they make many of the movements that other luxury brands use.
Basically, you can't lose with those 3 choices, but if I were picking, I would go with the Overseas. Best of luck. |

Vacheron. You can find one for around $10,500 BNIB from an AD or Grey dealer if you are looking for the Chronograph version. $7200 for the Date/Time version.
PM me if you would like the POC for a very reliable trusted Grey Dealer. |

resale value without a doubdt daytona is the best out of them all. however, i am a big fan of VC overseas. it is soo stunning!
i think you can sort of compare the daytona and VC together but JLC is in a diff league price wise and function wise. these days i am sort of ttempted to flip my yacht master and trade it for VC dual time ... |

One thing to keep in mind about the VC Dual time, is it is the dual time function that has the hour hand move in one hour segments, not the main hour hand. (reverse of a GMT II for exapmple).

But resale is not an indication of higher quality; it is an indication of how many people would be willing to buy a used Daytona at a higher price though. If you think you might want to resell your watch later, the Daytona would be the best bet in this group. Vacheron Constantin and Jaeger LeCoultre are much smaller companies and they make high quality specialty watches. The JLC Perpetual is one of the cheapest high quality perpetuals on the market and many collectors will tell you they are astonished with the quality you get for the money with JLC. But because of several market factors, JLC sells for less in the resale market. VC has been known as one of the top 3 manufacturers of watches for many years and they are the oldest manufacturer at 251 years in business. If you compare these 3 watches, the VC and JLC stand head and shoulders above the Daytona. So if you want an elite specialty watch, go with the VC or JLC. If you want a very well made watch that is also later highly tradeable or resellable, then go with the Daytona. |

The Overseas
Bought the VC. More expensive than the Daytona (even at inflated grey market conditions) but I find it amazing. Most comfortable watch I own. Fit and finish are remarkable, extremely precise time keeper, has a date, and coming from VC makes it much more unlikely to be seen or recognized.
I still have my eye on a WG Daytona, so I understand your struggle. |

Several of the reasons I like the Vacheron Chrono over the others though is:
Large Date Feature Anti-Magnetic Case Proven movement Very nice Bracelet Thin profile Anti-Reflective Crystal (inside coating only) Water Resistance to 150meters Very nice engraving on case back |

If you're looking to impress people with little knowledge of watches but still want an amazing piece, go Daytona. I have a SS White Dial Daytona and love it.
If you want an AMAZING watch that people in the know will really be impressed that you go for the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph. Not that impressing people matters, but as much as I LOVE my Daytona, they are pretty popular (for a reason) and relatively common watch. The VC is classic (albeit new design) that has a such a great tradition and is probably only rivaled by Patek in terms of exclusivity.

Overseas seem to be had just about anywhere and for the most part with a discount. I was in an L.A. VC AD last week, they had an Overseas Chrono, I told them I was interested in the Dual Time, she took my number and said they'd call me within 2-4 weeks as soon as it came in. Try doing that at ANY AD IN THE WORLD for an SS Daytona. The order I would do is... Daytona VC JLC
