Which Tudor GMT Do You Like Better?

  • Tudor GMT Pepsi with Opaline Dial. At 41mm and 14.5mm thick, many consider it to be a bit slab sided. Intrduced at Watches & Wonders '23
  • Tudor GMT Coke with black dial. Just introduced at Watches & Woners '24. Is smaller than all of Tudor's other GMT's at 39mm and is 12.8mm thick.

Both come with the conteroversial fake rivets oyster style bracelet and in-house movement.

Neither. Love Tudor, but the GMTs are a mess.

Wow tough crowd

I like both, but I prefer the new one, mostly because of the dimensions. I’m pretty excited to see it in person :)

I hope these lukewarm responses reflect the broader watch buying public, as I have the BB 58 GMT on order, maybe I'll get it pretty quickly.

And yea, that's the one I prefer primarily due to dimensions.

I like both but would probably go with the Coke if I had to choose.

The original Pepsi works best for me. But all, including the Pro are great additions to the GMT line. Always nice to have size and aesthetic choices.

I have no fear of heights and not repulsed but small metal dots. I do love the vintage stair step bracelet.

Or a watch enthusiasts passion .. Tudor are priced to entice people in, this forum is made up of Air-King to LeMans/Platona buyers, but doesn’t mean people can’t recognise a stunning watch .. I’ve just posted my favourite Tudor, would happily wear this as a daily, spoke to someone on the bus in Schipol wearing one and it looked so good on ..

Of those two, I'd choose the opaline dial but would choose the original black dial over both.

I would go with the new 39mm version. I spoke to my AD about this watch this week. Hopefully I will try one on over the spring.

Both look good. I'd like to see both in person. The white dial GMT is very interesting looking with the Pepsi bezel.

Same parent

Both have royalty-esque logo

Tudor takes a lot of design language from Rolex, albeit making it worse (faux rivets)

Is it really non-sense? I don't necessarily think we have to say it is for a "poor man" trying too hard or yearning for a Rolex, but it definitely is Rolex Jr. in a lot of ways.

Which Tudor GMT Do You Like Better?

White opaline dial is tough to beat (IMHO). It’s one of my favorite non-Rolex models on the market. It’s big, but I got the wrists for it.

The gilt on the Coke is tough to swallow. I never liked it on the diver BB58. It’s worse on the GMT. It clashes with the red.

The fake rivets are barely noticeable, especially when you're wearing the watch! For me I didn't even notice that being an "issue" until I saw others complain about it online, months after I purchased mine. It didn't change my opinion, they're a non issue.

When I compare the bracelets of my BB GMT to my BLNR, the Rolex is a lot more comfortable and the fake rivets have nothing to do with it.

This experience is consistent w/ most owners.

Watch owners will complain about anything to justify not spending the money, it's really as simple as do you or do you not like the watch

Love the original Pepsi, one of my first Tudors and a mainstay of my collection. EDIT: it is not the opaline dial version, however.

Would need to see/try on the new Coke to venture a guess which one I'd like more, TBH. It's a good looking watch from the pics for sure.

I have a feeling, though, it would be the Pepsi. I've been surprisingly underwhelmed by the other 39mm models I've handled. Only the Ranger stands out so far in that crowd, IMO, of course.

Coke 39 on a rubber strap for me. To be honest I don’t like the fake patina gold accents on the bezel (idk why it couldn’t just be white) but I do like how it’s thinner than the Pepsi by 2 mm.
