The BLNR is one of my favorite watches. I'd like to have one but it's in too much demand right now. I can't see a little blue being worth $2000 over over the all black GMT IIc in the secondary. Well, at least it's not to me.

The BLNR only uses blue chromalight. In varying shades of darkness it can be perceived differently, there's also the subject of the type of camera used and whether it represents images naturally or the photo has some finishing.

This might be an odd question but what is the reference number on your warranty cards? Mine ends 116710B but on the Rolex site 116710BLNR is used. I bought from an AD but want to make sure they didn't mess up the paperwork. From what I've heard, Rolex looks for any discrepancy during service so I'd like to get it straight. Thanks

I'm in! In love with this future GMT classic! Debating how to keep wearing it without giving it too much "wear and tear." Oh, moderation, how I hate thee. P.S. My ref# also ends in B from USA AD.

Nice Bruiser but not for me. I went with Classic Sub C. What we all have to realise is there is NO wrong answer. Only right and right for you.

I think you're in the wrong thread, but you are correct. Buy what you love, not what others love! Enjoy your new timepiece!

Wow...it would appear that some of the Patek WIS's are a bit tightly wound and persnickety about the immaturity of many of us long time Rolex wearers. In essence, the Submariner itself is a nickname settled on by Rolex after having trademarked several other nicknames and seeing which one resonated the most with their board members and marketing dept. some of the nicknames that ultimately didn't make the cut were "Frogman, Manometer and Dive-O-Graph. Of which, I believe there are at least a few examples of the Dive-O-Graph in the hands of some very well funded collectors. In fact, I think I once saw a pic of an existing Frogman in a collection as well! As far as the sales staff at the AD's go, well....let's just say that their are countless threads about how unacceptable it is that they are so ignorant to the most basic levels of product knowledge for this brand. Sometimes, I like to drink a Rootbeer or Pepsi whilst wearing my Hulk and watching Batman! And, if the scenes are really scary I will cuddle up to my Panda, as the Beast is to bulky and manly for such immature behavior!!! |

Nice to be a new member! I have truly fallen in love over the past few months. I bought him about a week ago,and the other watches are pissed! My TT sub that's a whopping one month got one day on the wrist but the DJIIs have been benched. The watch is near perfection, with the Plat Daytona being perfection. But not for me for 75k.....ImageUploadedByTapatalk1391311256.627202.jpg

So glad I got it over the LN. I think the BLNR suits a younger style and I'm still mid-thirties, lol. |
