JLC or Glashutte Original?
I currently own a JLC ultra thin moon, but find myself looking at the GO panomatic lunar more and more.
Not sure what to do, When i got the JLC I absolutely loved it. But what do you guys think I should do? Get rid of the JLC for the GO? Borrowed photos below. |

Keep the JLC and save for the other. Both are great pieces and different enough to own together.

Whatever you do, I'd keep the JLC.

JLC all day long. The GO is pretty sweet as well though.

I bought that GO and ended up selling it - hard to tell the time and it felt too thick for the diameter. If you can try one on, do so. Good luck.

I thought I wanted the JLC Master Calendar. Great respect for the brand and it looks amazing in pics. My 50 year old eyes did not appreciate it in person.
Went to a few GO places to look at the White Panomatic Lunar. Only the dark face was available. I liked it,but I have enough dark watches. Have you tried them on? No wrong answer here! |

Is normally vote JLC but I just love how that Glashutte looks. Either would be good I suppose. But the JLC might be cheaper in the long run due to simpler movement to service.

I recently had a similar predicament. I was torn between JLC MUT Moon and GO PML. In the end, I decided to get both. However, I chose Master Memovox instead of the MUT Moon as I wanted something more versatile and masculine. IMHO, the GO PML is definitely better that the MUT Moon. I strongly advise that you try it on first as some may find the deployant clasp to be uncomfortable.

Thanks for the input, I have tried on the GO PML and its thicker than I really would like a watch to be and the deployant clasp didnt bother me, but it was a good looking piece.
Hank, I love how the JLC wears. Its very comfy and at first when I bought the JLC I was torn between the JLC MUT and the GO PML but ultimately went for the JLC. |

Both are beautiful watches, but I do love the symmetry of the MUT Moon.

Haha it was a Master Calendar and yes I traded it towards my AP. It was a little too dressy for me after all. Though I very much like GO, I wouldn't trade a MUT Moon for one.

I do dress up for work but at age 27, i feel like the MUT is too old manish for me. |

I know exactly what you mean. I wore it often at first but found it getting less and less wrist time. Traded it with no regrets. I am however contemplating another JLC at some point. Something on the sportier side. The Memovox is currently the front runner followed by the Geophysic or Master Control.

while the JLC is a wonderful watch, I dont think it has anything outstanding about it..it is a simple nice watch, but not truly iconic like the GO PML...I think the GO PML is truly representative of a different Glashutte aesthetic and is just a much more appealing and outstanding watch I would flip it, I mean to vote ;)

I like the Geophysic, but could you live with the Faux patina on the hands? |

I saw that you posted your MUT Moon for sale. The PanoLunar is a great watch and I'm sure you're going to love it. The fit and finish on GO is stellar

Both are awesome watches, but I'm pretty sure the PML is tremendously thick (I don't know if that's a problem for you). It really depends which design you prefer though as they are very different.

The thickness of the watch did bother me at one point, but after having an omega 8500 planet ocean, other watches don't really seem that thick anymore.

I am 100% on board with you regarding the Geophysic, I loved the write up and review of it on Hodinkee until I saw the Faux patina... Im sure that turned away most people from that watch. |

Very nice! 2500 or 8500? I also got rid of the 8500 as that sat in the safe for months at a time as well.
