I am not jumping out at you, but most members here, in my experience don't like to talk about the cost of their watches. Maybe it is taboo or something. Maybe in bad taste. It almost seems as if they are saying.....If you have to ask you probably can't afford it. Now again, not trying to jump out at you, this is my personal experience on this forum, but I do hope that you get the answer you desire!

I am not jumping out at you,Now again, not trying to jump out at you.

As I said, "In my experience" because I probably asked something similar and no one answered. I had a thread open for days and no one answered, the other persons response was probably who you should follow and take advice from. I was just saying. Also, I don't have that attitude "If you need to ask you probably can't afford it" is a vibe I get from some on the forum, not the vast majority. I was simply telling you about MY experiences. As for researching the thread, I do, and I have many more posts than you, so that should solidify that. If I had the knowledge to tell you how much I paid, I would have gladfully given you that information, but look at this thread...................No one else has responded, does that give you an indication this question may be taboo perhaps. Like I said I feel I am a very nice person. If I had the info I would give it to you no problem! You have gotten only one useful response, and that is check the FOR SALE section.
No one else has chimed in. I sincerely appologize if I came off as rude, a jerk, or mean. All I was trying to say is, in my experience, when I have read or seen something asking how much something was, usually people don't answer, and I feel that gives ME a vibe of "If you have to ask you probably can't afford it" This is the vibe I myself in MY experience get. I am a very feelings oriented person, so I many times take text on the forum out of context, as I think you might have with mine!
So WELCOME TO THE FORUMS! I am sincerely appologize for the misunderstanding. I hope you get the timepiece you want, at the price you want and wear it in good health. I am really sorry about the misunderstanding and if you need anything and I can help PM me or reply to one of my threads or whatever. I am trying to be a productive member of the forums, but just as I interpret text wrongly at times, I write it incorrect too.
We all make mistakes, again.....sorry for everything.
Have a GREAT Rolex DAY! lol

Welcome to the Forum!

If you browse our For Sale section, these appear to be selling $7,200-7,600, from REPUTABLE sellers!

I hope this helps!

Troll Alert. PS, he's right, people don't talk price on this forum. I wouldn't bother with "how much did you pay" or "what's the cheapest I can get a ____". Not that kind of forum. Just some free advice.

I don't like that post, you've used up all your chances.

Sorry if I offended anyone else with my posts, but like I said, I am new to "foruming"
so I get on edge and take things out of context from time to time, but you all have been really nice to guide me properly. I was just trying to inform the guy.
I should have chose my words a little more carefully.

Cheapest ever offered to me 6300 at a local pawn store, most expensive 9200 BNIB. The 6300 was a D serial, no box or papers, hope that helps.

New member here and love the content. I don't see the issue with sharing pricing as it makes everyone here a well informed consumer. I am active on a porsche site. Costs of modifications and cars are shared deliberately so one knows if they are getting a good price. Retail prices, as everyone knows, are suggested by the manufacturer. Actual transaction prices are valuable information to us consumers and would be part of the reason why I would spend time here.

Mid 7s for a LNIB sounds about right. A brand spanking new one, should be about 8-8.5

Quite possibly had the initial exchanges of verbiage been a bit more civil, the end results for the o/p would have been different. The o/p as a new member should have gone to a mod right off if he felt he was unjustly bashed rather than lashing out as he did. I know what you are saying about pricing as we trade costs of mods to our cars on both the Miata and Corvette forums.

Gee come on the OP has just 2 posts. I see no harm in his asking a question on a very expensive watch. If he was such an expert like ESKO is he would not have asked the question. This forum is great because it is the most informative watch Forum on Earth. I think the flaming the OP has been subject to is excessive. This is not an elitist forum full of snobs who look down on a guy just asking what he should pay for an awesome watch. By the way the model that he is interested in is also going to be my next purchase.

I paid $7800 from an authorized dealer out of state, no sales tax, delivered to my door. You should be able to get 15%. But I did know the dealer from 32 years ago. I bought a submariner date from him back then. Most dealers do not want to deal on the phone. They are apparently afraid of consequences?
