Stop telling him he is lying
He might be, and he might NOT be lying. So what? Anyway, David: The "Zenith" movement was in the predecessor Daytona (model 16520 if you take the STEEL version). That movement was a MODIFIED Zenith (Zenith cal. 410, the socalled "El Primero" which in its original form has a staggering 36,600 bph - beat per hour). Rolex altered that movement (including bringing the bps down to the Rolex known 28,800) and gave it the cal. # 4030. It had a power reserve of 54 hours and 47 hours with the chronograph continously running. Btw: in comparison to the "Zenith" ca. 4030, the new in-house Daytona cal. 4130 movement winds up 68 % FASTER! If you want a FREE photoserver, I suggest: 1) Go to www.photobucket.com and create an account (it's FREE!) 2) Upload the pic to photobucket from your PC 3) When it's uploaded, copy the IMG code (BOTTOM bar under the photo in photobucket - there are four bars, but you'd wanna use the third and last bar). You copy the IMG code by simply clicking on the bar. 4) You then note that photobucket tells you "copied". 5) Then go to rolexforums and start your post. 6) In your post, press the "Add picture" button and a prompt pops up with http://. Delete that http:// and press CTRL + V (now that address of the photo - the "IMG tag" - is inserted in the prompt you got. 7) Then DELETE the last and first [IMG] to get rid of "IMG" standing before and after your photo when you post it. (not important, but just looks better). Or you can skip # 6 & 7 and just rightclick in your post and choose "paste"...........BINGO your photo will be there as soon as you press Submit reply. IMPORTANT: DO NOT DELETE THE PICTURE FROM PHOTOBUCKET (OR ANY SERVER YOU USE) SINCE DELETING IT THERE WOULD ALSO DELETE IT HERE ON TRF! (RED CROSS INSTEAD OF PIC).

But it would be nice to see the "complete package" so to speak:
Box, papers, hang tag, booklets etc., etc. And what series is it, btw? I mean the LETTER in front of the serial number. I will tell you later why I ask when I have your reply. Just being curious.

The 4130 movement is what you will find in the 116520............
Yours does not have that movement................ Your movement is most likely a miyota type 21 jewel movement. That is what is usually found in Daytona replicas............... BTW, Timemerchants.com does not ship DHL, only Fedex and USPS. http://www.timemerchants.com/shipping.htm Also, has anyone else purchased from them? They have a Florida address, but a Utah phone number. Their return and satisfaction policy is also really screwy! Interesting to say the least. I thought you were going to purchase from AD's only?!?!?!?!?!? |

Either that or he's going through the thousands of images on google images. Hey i'm just saying.....I'm going to shut up now before I get banned. I love this place too much for that |

Brian, You seem like a nice guy and like all of us here you obviously have a interest in fine watches. You are not on trial here. Im only new here myself. This forum is so friendly and nobody will give you any hassle normally. Its just when people get a new watch they provide pictures. You have quite a collection and dont really want to provide pics. Thats fine. Why dont we move on ???? I look forward to your future threads on different subjects other than your new watches but every time you bring them up the same questions are going to be asked.... Lets move on ???

Try taking a pic of the case open when you have the time. Say? What was the LETTER of the serial number, please? Should be on the certificate. Anyway: Congrats on your 200th post!

I was trying to reserve judgement out of kindness, lol. What threw me is the Bulova and the other cheaper watches mixed in the collection. Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with Fossil, or Bulova or any of the other non outragousely priced watches but why keep them once you're wearing the pricier toys. I mean really, are you going to leave a Rolex on the winder to give the Guess watch some wrist time?

the first letter of the serial # on the cert is Y? the reason I have lower end watches is because I cant wear a rolex at work, and theres nothing else in the white box except bubble wrap

Anyone here seen the Monty Python movie "Life of Brian"?? The scene where Brian (= Jesus) is on the cruzifiction cross, and the Romans have decided to RELEASE BRIAN from this dreadfull way of dying?? So a squad is sent out the the hill where many people are still suffering ("not QUITE dead yet") on the crosses, and the squad people shout: "WHO'S BRIAN HERE???" And ANOTHER person, seeing the chance of getting OFF that cruzifiction cross, and Brian being busy singing, quickly replies: "I am Brian!!!" And then the others chime in, shouting: "NOOO! I am Brian" and another says: "NOOO, I am BRIAN!! And so is my WIFE!!!" Wonderfull movie, that is!
