In fairness Grady, you're not the first to say that. I may have to give it another look.

Just a hint, it's a dark comedy and satire on modern American life. I can see why a Brit might not get it, but 30 years on, those elements of American culture have probably seeped into other cultures as well, especially Britain.

Toys

I’ve always regarded it as the worst movie I’ve seen.

Airplane. Hated it the first time, couldn't stop laughing the second time. I'm more of a "B" movie person anyways… I had high hopes for the first Dune movie, perhaps the new release will be better. But come on! Duncan Idaho is played by Jason Momoa and Paul Atreidies by Timothee Chalemet?? WTF! Batista as Rabban Harkonnen works… Kind of an avid Sci Fi reader… Also looking forward to the film adaptation of Foundation by Isaak Asimov. And then there's The Wheel of Time coming up too. Hopefully along the lines of Game of Thrones with gritty, dirty, ugly people, not a CW BS version of "look at how pretty I am…" adaptation.

A Christmas Story and Office Space were both box office failures.

Hell so was Halloween during its initial releases….so what did John Carpenter do? Wrote and added the music….. possessed serial killers can’t be their best without solid theme music

I’ve always had a thing against copy cats and remakes…. Not to be political but all of the “woke” remakes are awful, but then there’s Iron Eagle…. Just the worst.

‘Bottle Rocket’ is one of my favourite movies too. Of all Wes Anderson’s films, that and ‘Rushmore’ are the only two I love.

‘Withnail and I’ didn’t break even but is another favourite of mine.

I admit I enjoyed Falling Down as well.

Iron Eagle too.

I got problems.

Hard for me to get through most any movie today though. I find most of them boring and repetitive.

Was just reading that Nic Cage had a bit of a rough time yesterday at Lawry's in Vegas.
Witnesses said Mr Cage appeared to have been drinking and could be heard mumbling something about, "those idiots on TRF".

I agree about "Rushmore." That is one of the greatest films ever in my book. I have watched it dozens of times.

I recently watched The Wolf of Snow Hollow and it was so bad it was almost good. But pretty much just bad. Real bad.
