What do you love MOST about Vintage?

Gents:

I am a recent, first time vintage owner. I just picked up a 1665 and it is sweeeeet.

I also am fortunate enough to own a 16600, which is also AWESOME. And, i am surprised by how different the two are.

As a recent owner, I have obviously been studying my watch and staring at it for hours and hours and I really am loving all the vintage aspects - domed crystal, matte dial, no WG surrounds, larger hour markers, etc.

But, my question to you is: What do you love MOST about vintage that modern Rolexes don't possess? What draws you to vintage aesthetically?

For me, it is the domed crystal. The way that it changes the look of the dial depending on the angle you glance at the watch - its just too cool.

Hope everyone is having a good Friday.
