First service! AD?
Hi! It’s time for my Air King 11200 (i think that’s right ) to get a service , it’s at the 7 year mark and the power reserve doesn’t last as long as it should.
should i have the service done privately or at an AD? how much should i expect to spend in either case? I bought the Air King here on the forums, not at an AD. My closest AD is a couple hour drive away. I like the watch and intend to keep it long term. TIA! |

Call RSC and they'll send you a box and instructions. Cut out the middle man.

Call the Rolex Service Center in Dallas and say you want a shipping kit to send your watch to them for a movement service. Don't mess with an AD. If you do, they have all say concerning your watch as the RSC will communicate with them. Send it off to Dallas yourself, a better scenario.

I just had my 16610lv serviced for the first time by Rik Dietel at Time Care INC. He did a fantastic job and charged much me $150 less than RSC and provides a 2 year warranty. I highly recommend him.

RSC for the first one just to experience it. Then you can try someone else if you want. I've done both. Liked both.

I’ll give them a call. What should I expect to pay, about $500?

Is it still keeping good time? If so, I would hold out before sending it in for service, but I wear my watch every day so the power reserve isn’t as much of a deal to me.
