black themes vs navy 2014
so i owned the black themes for more than a year. loved it... it matches everything and is easy to wear.
then this year the navy 2014 came out and i was pretty blown away. blue's my favourite colour and i was coveting the watch for many months. so i decided to trade in my themes and buy it. however... now that i own the navy 2014 i find it clashes with pretty much everything! it's a bit difficult to wear, and i tend to wear business attire about 80% of the time. and looking at it more and more, i'm finding the blue doesn't really go with the orange or rather looks a bit weird with the orange highlights. have not peeled the stickers off yet so now i'm wondering if i should go back and buy the black themes again before it's completely discontinued... yes, i know it's my own fault for not predicting this earlier, but what do you guys think? p.s. went back to the dealer and he flat out refused to sell me back my black themes and take the navy EVEN with a top up. i'm never dealing with him again. |

You had an itch you needed to scratch... I am a HUGE fan of the OLD Navy, not so much the new style. Sell the blue, buy back your Black.
The dealer seems a bit unreasonable, and I agree, I wouldn't deal with him again. |

Thanks for the advice guys. My friends are telling me to just keep the navy because it's a bit more "offshore" looking than the themes which can be a bit "regular" looking. I won't peel the stickers off just yet tho.

I can feel where you are coming from. After years of wavering, I've narrowed my choices down to Black or Gray dials. As for you dilemma, the black Themes is a nice watch. I also like the new 42mm Black watch and 42mm Gray watch. Can't go wrong with any of these.

The learnings I gleaned in other threads about the modular movement - I.e not completely in house - at this price point makes the new 42mm novelties hard to buy. IMO.

I don't think navy clashes with many clothes but if the orange isn't working for you too then I would trade it.

AP calls it "Royal Blue", not Navy, and the original Navy is no mas.
Anyways, as for the new 42mm Novelties, the Grey is the best IMO. How about that one? |

I can't speak for you, but the fact that you want reassurance about changing your watch speaks for itself. I think you've made up your mind and you want a nudge. You can't go wrong with the black or gray.

black themes vs navy 2014
I like the Royal Blue best. Under different lighting it brings out a really nice color. Too many black theme watches out there to choose from.

Black themes is much more versatile, new blue navy is more casual. Buy the black back. Good luck!

Black themes is the better looking watch IMO especially with the SS bracelet |
