The 38mm Transocean

Is a sleeper. An elegant, oh so wearable watch...and a fair value, too...

Sensible proportions...dressy but still adventurous...

The more I wear it, the more I like it.

And that, I think, is the mark of a watch that's a pleasure to own.

Thanks for the pics. Absolutely love that model. Best thing out of Breitling in a while, IMO.

Thanks, everyone, for all the positive replies...

I was immediately drawn to the Transocean and its classic--and classy--look. I felt the full size model was a shade large, so passed it by...then the 38mm came out.

Breitling marketed the smaller size towards women, in part, but I found its size ideal for me. It is a solid watch, with a thick case.

I opted for the simplicity of the black strap and the black dial. The bracelet highlights the vintage design, but, I think, draws the eye away from the watch itself. I feel the black leather strap makes the watch the center of the eye's attention. It's very comfortable, too.

Anyway, anyone interested in a low key, handsome wristwatch would do well to give the Transocean, in either size, consideration.

That is a great design. I think I may look at that next. I have been wanting another breitling...something smaller than the usual 44mm I have had in the past. I have small wrist and they tend to hang to the outer side of my wrist.

Currently this is the only modern Breitling that catches my attention. 38mm I believe is a perfect size eventhough they say this is a ladies watch on which I don't understand. White face on the brown strap is truly lovely.

Congrats! That is a beautiful watch. Breitling straps are the best. You should try it on an OEM black crock...would look amazing!

Two sub dial chrono is pure class. Very retro-cool. Simple pushers and a leather strap. This is a great piece!

The all black dial lets it fly under the radar as a "sport" watch so it dresses up easily.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for one of these.
