Not true in all cases. I used Craigslist to sell a utility trailer and my Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I got the price I asked for both and the ads cost me no $ to place. The key is to sell your things to someone local in your area. And only accept cash in hand or a local bank certified check that you can verify legit.

Honestly, I don't know how people on here freely send money into other people's banks account with no safety net. Obviously there are some very trusted sellers on this forum who complete there transactions problem free. But when you see someone with 20 posts saying he accepts bank wire only! Seriously? I'm sure everyone trusted Bernie Madoff as well. I'm glad I read the "entire" comments here because I was about to pull the trigger on a sub C.
