Any tech savvy computer software experts?

There's a good possibility that I might have found an opportunity to exponentially increase revenue across many industries...

I am curious if anyone has experience with building a computer program that integrates information from multiple outside sources. (Data from outside companies)

How hard is that to do in real time?

Then the next step is designing an app based that information.

What is the most efficient way to get this started?

Honestly, it doesn't sound like you have a lot to go on. Sites have feeds called APIs, which other sites can use.

DuckDuckGo uses these for Instant Answers, like "who is in space?"

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=who+is+in+...ffab&ia=answer -- If you think you can implement these in a better, more-lucrative way, I'd be happy to hear it.

More like other programs rather than websites -- are API's the best way to get information in real time in this case? Or another option?

If he has some APIs to go off of and like working (probably) asynchronously, then he might just be in business. Perhaps I'm not understanding the query since there isn't a ton of info up there...

Lots of different types of systems that can be accessed - depends on what the systems are ;)

EDI > Scripts > APIs, etc....

Modern technology makes distance a nothingness my friend! Give me a PM, we can see if anything can be done, if not best of luck!
