USAF QF-4 Phantom is shot at by an F-35 with 2 AIM-120s during last unmanned mission

Another sad day . . . I really loved the F4 !

Lastime time I saw one flying was in 1996 at EBST in Belgium

In Desert Storm, I flew on missions following Air Force F-4G Wild Weasels. For those of you that are not aware, a Wild Weasel is an aircraft that deliberately makes itself a target for SAM (surface to air Missle) sites, then when they themselves are targeted by the SAM Radar, they launch a HARM (High Speed Anti-Radiation Missle) that homes in on the radar signal from the Radar site (and destroys it). Let me say that again, those guys were DELIBERATELY making themseves targets for the SAM Missle Radars to clear a path for guys like me, that were doing everything we could to AVOID being targeted by a SAM radar.....

To say they were brave doesn't do justice to those guys
