Does the guarantee card replace the paper certificate
On the new rolex watches in the last 2 or three years, does the guarantee card replace the old paper chronometer certificate or do you get both???. I am consdidering buying a NOS 3135 mvt submariner which states to have the papers but so far I have only seen the guarantee card

By "papers", they mean the card and booklets that come with the watch. JJ

I definetly prefer papers over the card, it makes the watch seem more expensive

2007.....but not on all of them. Some Rolex watches still came out with the paper warranty while some with the card. By 2008, the whole thing was streamlined down to plastic cards only.

The red Chronometer hang tag, with the hologram on it, replaces the Chronometer statement that was on the warranty paper... .. (actual certs have been gone for decades)

You get a small green booklet along with the watch stating that the watch has undergone the required tests to prove that it is a chronometer. See the green booklet in the pic below, just above the case carrying the warranty card.
