Best way to ship insured private party

I’m buying a watch from a private seller. What’s the safest way to ship the watch insured. I need it insured for $40,000. Thanks in advance

USPS registered mail is the only way to insure the watch for that much as a private shipper. It offers insurance up to $50,000. However it is very slow because it needs to be signed for at all times.

Most dealers ship via FedEx but they use 3rd party insurance.

I always bought from a dealer so I always got the shipping label sent. I wanted to make sure on this deal.

The seller should be the one figuring this out and organising shipment and insurance. Be careful who you deal with.

I have a parcel pro account that I use. Kind of a pain to get one but well worth it. Otherwise it’s USPS and SLLLOOOOOOWWWLY with registered mail

Agreed on USPS being the easiest hassle free way except for the fact that the shipping speed is slower.

Grey dealers and folks in the industry us FedEx overnight but have separate insurance policy as a part of their day to day business operations.

you definitely need an independent rider if you plan on using anything other than USPS.
