Seamaster 2531.80 Faded Second Hand-Repair?
I am curious if anyone here has ever had the second had replaced on their Seamaster 2531.80. The sun has faded the tip on mine to a dull orange and I see a website that sells original Omega components. What is the process involved for the watchmaker to make the swap so I can estimate the amount of risk in having the watch opened up to have this done.

Ok, it's something like this
- Remove strap - unscrew the back - pull out the stem and crown - take the movement out with the face and hands attached - put it face up in a movement holder - Use special pincers to remove hands - Replace/set hands with new second hand with special tool - place movement back in case and push back and secure stem/crown - Screw on back (maybe change case gasket). Pressure test. - Reattach bracelet There is no risk IF you have a good watchmaker. Get references. Handling the hands is intricate.

personally, i'd get it done during a required service, rather than have everything pulled apart just for that.
