OK, I just purchased an "unworn" 16613 "D" serial 2006 model a couple of weeks ago. They shipped it FedEx next day air which was nice. Everything looked right, the box, the manuals, the cloth, the tag. The watch itself was never sized but had a very faint scratch on the side (no big deal) but a gouge in the trip-lock crown (bigger deal). Got it verified as an authentic Rolex by a local authorized Rolex repair specialist. Got to witness the whole thing, the beautiful movement, the engravings on the inside of the back cover, the model and serial number engravings at 12 and 6 o'clock, the bracelet solid end-link engravings, and even the laser-etched crown on the crystal thru a magnifer. Everything was authentic but the bezel insert. As you can see in the pic below, it just was not right and definitely aftermarket. The numbers on the insert were not equidistant from the edge, the markers also did not make it to the edge and were not sharp, some of the numbers were too "fat", and the pearl was not big enough nor high enough from the surrounding ring. I ended up buying a very good condition one from Steve Mulhuoland (great guy btw) so that people wouldn't think my watch was fake.
Anyway, in the end, I think I did just "ok" on price. Hind sight being 20-20, I wish I had bought used from the reputable sellers on TRF. I was so stressed out that my watch was a fake due to the bezel insert. The dial worried me as well as the "S" in "SUBMARINER" on my dial looks more like a backwards "Z" as most people's on this board look like a regular "S". But if you look at the dial on Rolex's own 16613 TT screensaver or their 16613 PDF info file, it looks exactly like my dial so I'm no longer worried. http://binary.rolex.com/servlet/pdf/...el=M16613-0015 OK, so maybe my experience was not a good one and you'll have a perfect one, who knows. Their website is vague about how long they've been in business but if you check the BBB, their website has been up since Feb 2008 and had no complaints so far. I have no legitimate complaints other than the fake bezel insert (maybe they bought it that way and didn't know it, who knows). Good luck in dealing with them. No matter what it says on their website about 100% satisfaction, they will not take the watch back with just any excuse w/o a restocking fee, according to Dennis, another one of their sales managers. |

Are you going for the same TT blue sub? In the end I am happy with it though I was a bit unlucky with the bezel insert. Good luck and let us know how it goes if you decide to go with them.

CHECK OUT: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/...Off0425637.htm I am an owner of 5 rolex watches and have had great experiences with some other sites like Gkscott.com Swiss-wrist.com has only been in existence for less than 1 year, fyi. |

Like mailman said, there are some good deals on TRF from reputable sellers. Lurk around the "for sale" section for awhile. I rarely see a 116713 for sale but you never know. I'm looking for a 116710 to add to my collection myself. Good luck! |

If you don't mind, can you tell us what the problems were? Before I bought from them, I could hardly find anything on TRF about them other than good things. This would help warn members about them. Shame on them for disappointing at least 2 TRF'ers. Their statement about 100% customer satisfaction is total bologna.

first off, the watch is real. they said they would send it overnight on a particular day. It didn't show up. I was really piss*d. I took the day off from work. They said sorry and sent it overnight that day and I got it first thing in the morning (but my plans to go out of town were shot to h#ll)
When I got it, I went to 4 different jewelers including the AD here. (to make sure it was real) The Ad noticed that there was a scratch on the crystal and some debris on the dial. (lint and maybe left over crystal that was broken?) The crystal may have been replaced. not sure. the watch was advertised as new/unused. It also came with the manual that was for a 3186 movement. It is a 3185. I've asked for the correct manual and I have yet to see it. ( they said they would send it ) The local watchmaker here cleaned up the dial. If there's dirt on the dial there might be dirt in the movement? I'm thinking about sending it in for service (it wont be to swisswrist eventhough they give a two year warranty). <Swisswrist did credit my credit card for a new crystal>. I'm looking for another watch in the meantime Not really happy with the ordeal but I like the watch and it is within +/- 1.5 sec per day. Now I'm wondering if the bezel is fake like JMS W sub. So I'm getting a new one from Steve Mulholland. Thanks Steve!!! Ok done venting now. mike |

It's okay to vent. I would, too, if you get something that isn't as advertised. Sorry to hear about your ordeal with them. My watch was also advertised as unused/unworn. At least you got some money back from them. I bought a bezel insert from Steve H. (great guy btw) as well, not new, but definitely authentic. Let these examples be warnings to future buyers. If buyers are willing to assume a little risk or inconvenience, swiss wrist is an option. Like I said before, maybe they buy these watches this way and just don't check everything out before selling it to the consumer. We will probably never know the truth. |

Now I have to decide where to send my GMT II to for service. New crystal and service. I think they (swisswrist) know that these watches have issues. <But sell them hoping we don't examine them carefully> mike |

Yes, ditto.
Btw, my wife likes the 179174 as well, in a black dial and roman numerals. That's what I'm aiming for next.

Well my M serial GMT iic and 179174 date just arrived about an hour ago. I checked them out very closely and I am happy to say that look like brand new, no issues at all. I'm going to take them to the AD this afternoon to have them look at them, but I dont think there will be any issues. Both came with boxes, pamphlets and warentee cards. Both were new purchased in mid to late 2008 from ADs judging by the cards that went with them. I will post an update after the AD checks them out. But so far, I am VERY happy with swiss wrist.

Here you go - dont have my macro lens so this is the best I could do with my 50MM in a pinch. I didnt bother cleaning them up so there are finger prints all over them since I have been handling them all day.

I am glad you got lucky with them. I personally think they are hit or miss at this point.
Here's the non-authentic (to put it nicely) bezel insert I got from them versus the authentic one I got from a fellow TRF'r. There at least 4 things wrong with it. As the red circles highlight (going left to right clockwise): the numbers are not sharp, too fat, and too far from the inside edge; the pearl is too small, surrounding ring too big, and the height of the pearl does not exceed the ring; the edges of the markers are not sharp and are not close enough to the inside and outside edges; the numbers are too orange (observed by Rolex certified technician). While the left pic is a slightly blurry, it does not hide the last 3 facts. The 30, 40, and 50 are shifted so close to the outer edge, it just looks wrong. If swiss wrist would work out something with me about the insert, I'd be more than happy to retract my disappointment with them. Anyway, Dhaines94, forgot to add, very nice looking pair. Every GMTIIc I see on TRF makes me want one even more. Good luck and wear in good health!
