Pepsi is one of a kind.

Both. If I could chose which one to obtain first and could realistically get it at MSRP, I'd go for the Blue Sky Dweller. It is a stunner and the harder of the two to obtain.

Pepsi vs. Blue Sky Dweller

The GMT also is much more comfortable to wear than the Skydweller, (for me) YMMV

Brian brings up great points.

The GMT supercase is smaller at 40mm, 48mm lug to lug length (50mm if on oyster), and 12.5mm thickness. Paired with the Jubilee, the GMT wears like a dream and fits sub 7 in wrists perfectly.

Meanwhile, the Sky Dweller’s dimensions are 42mm, 51mm from lug to lug (52mm end link to end link if on oyster), 14mm thick. Essentially a bigger watch and would be much more cumbersome on smaller wrists.

The GMT is primarily a professional model and one can quickly tell the time using either the local hour or GMT hour. On the other hand, the Sky Dweller is a classic model watch with annual calendar and a 2nd 24hr counter which in my opinion Rolex executed superbly. Still relatively simple to read time especially if you are used to it.

If none of these points matter to you, and only rarity matters, I believe the Blue Sky Dweller would be the harder one to get of the 2.

Good luck to you either way OP.

Thanks for those dimensions Nick, I don't believe I've heard them before.

As owner of both models Blue Sky-Dweller 326924 (over 3 years) and black GMT II 116710LN (10 years) I can share some observations from wearing them.

GMT II
- slimmer profile and light
- nicely slides under the cuff
- easy to read
- some may consider dial plain
- prefer to wear this one to travel
- easy to set

SkyD
- slightly heavier and larger but not uncomfortable
- after I got mine I didn’t wear anything else for a year
- annual calendar function is sweet and the click at the end of the month is amazing
- the blue dial is awesome and changes with light conditions
- I still come back to this one often and it stays on my wrist for weeks at a time
- more complicated to set, but not hard
- similarly easy to use for travel (home + local time)

I would be hard pressed to pick one of the two if I had to. But given the two you are considering (different bezel from mine) I would lean towards the SkyDweller. But what I like is not important. It’s your watch.

My recommendation is to try both on your wrist and see which one calls to you more. If you are in this for long haul you can get the other one later.

I think wrist size matters as a threshold. A well fitted 300 dollar suit looks better than a 3000 dollar one that you’re swimming in. Second, get what you like. If both fit well and you like both equally, sure, consider rarity if you’d like. It’s not the starting point to the decision unless you’re flipping.

I think many didn’t read OPs question. He’s not asking which model do we like better. He is saying he will end up owning both so (strategically) how should he capitalize on this opportunity?

The answer is sky dweller

Thanks everyone. I will go for the jubilee Skydweller first.
