Hi everyone,
Was given a quotation by an AD in TRF, is USD 9345 a reasonable price? Its my first watch and i see very constructive views given. Would like to read some views before deciding.... Thanks. |

MSRP is $10650.00 for a new one.
You are getting 12.25% off. It is better than nothing. Though some here have gotten a better discount. |

Very fair price.
I have one BNIB for the same amount, so seems reasonable, about $2000 off new. |

The demand isn't what it was 3 years ago. They can be found for $8.5k-ish regularly and are available almost everywhere.

Unfortunately, yes. A sub C is around US $11.500. That's why I got one from a fellow member here in my last visit to NYC

I usually find trusted sellers are selling bnib Rolex sport models for about $500-$800 less than what an AD will want, plus no tax.
I couldn't get any discount on a Sub C at an AD, got one for about 15% off here from a TS. I see trusted sellers asking $9300 or so for Deepseas, and 7300 for Sub C's, I don't know of any FL AD's discounting the Sub C at all, the best I could get on a Deepsea was about 12% at an AD, and it seems discounts have tightened up since then. |

For my money I would still buy from TRF TS for bnib or pre-owned.

That sounds like a fair deal to me. If you've shopped around and not found better, go for it.

Dont pay more than $9,000 brand new from an AD in the States. Pay a lot less from a grey market dealer here on the Rolex forums.

I have gotten better prices from my AD than the trusted sellers advertise. I haven't tried to haggle with them because I like the AD experience and my AD really takes care of me. I guess I got lucky with a good AD. I paid $9k for my DSSD but that was after waiting 7-8 months for it to be released in 08. I only got a few hundred off of it then but it was a hot item then. I have seen 2 DSSDs in the past 2 months at ADs that I could've walked out with for under $9k. I got quoted $8600 and $8750. I wasn't buying I just always inquire about prices and these weren't at the Ad where I buy my watches.

ADs are tighter now..
Last year I got 20+% on the DS and SubC from an AD but it's much tighter from what I've seen

I bought a DSSD a few weeks ago and did just slightly better than what they are offering you, and I knew the rep at the AD. I think its a decent deal. Rumors keep swirling about more price increases, so now may be a good time to jump on it if that is true.

Today, two BNIB were listed for sale on TRF- 1 by drtooth73 for $9175 (still active) and another by davidsw for $9375 (already sold). If you can get it at an AD for $9345 that doesn't seem to bad based on current TRF listings by grey dealers.

I say buy it. In a few months after the next price increase your buyers remorse will be gone.
