"Rolex Rolex Rolex" inside bezel

When (year) did Rolex start engraving "Rolex Rolex Rolex" inside their bezels? What models? Also, when did they start engraving the Rolex crown onto their dials in the 6 o'clock position? Thanks for any help!

The rolexrolexrolex was commenced with the Z serial in or about 2008.

The lazer etched coronet at 6 O'Clock in the crystal commenced around the "Y" serial in or about 2004-5.

These are my rough recollections I may be off by a year or two

It was around 2001 the Laser Etched Hologram on the Crystal started to appear on some models. Then from 2004 Serial F/D on some models but not all the Rolex/serial on the Rehaut ring started.

IIRC:

late 2001 for Laser etched crown

2004 for rehaut with the turn-o-graphs, then gmts in 2005 and it trickled in by 2007 for all.

This was a transitional feature of the 16610 in 2007 – 2009 as it was becoming standard on all Rolex models.

My wife has an A series DJ with the coronet on the crystal. That series started a new movement for ladies DJ. That was the first of the etching.

My Explorer Z serial sold in Sept 2006 does not have engraving. Must have been one of the last clean rehauts.
