They should, if for no other reason then to see how many customers they're losing every day.

They apologized, said their financial system was going through a change, and the money had to come from Switzerland or China. I'm paraphrasing, of course, but this was the gist of it. No plausible explanation was given for why several e-mails went unanswered for weeks, or why the money was now overseas when the buyer, seller and watches were all located in the same room in NYC on the same day in December.

In my opinion, Antiquorum did significant damage to their reputation with their mishandling of this seller. They could not have screwed up any worse, particularly if they hope to obtain more Rolex watches associated with exploration. Both the buyer and the seller are deeply involved in exploration, and both have ties to Rolex. You don't throw eggs at the President if you want to be appointed Ambassador to Switzerland. I already know of one other potential seller that will not consign their watch to AQ as a result of this seller's experience.

That is so true but your remark that JD sucks because he knows more than you do about Rolex is ignorant and rude.
I dare to say that JD has probably forgotten more about Rolex then you will ever know or learn. May I suggest that you in the future refrain from ignorant and childish remarks on a subject that you obviously have no knowledge about. |

My strong advice to both of you: BUTTON IT UP AND MOVE ON. If you do not heed this advice, you will have to be prepared for the consequences.

I will provide updates as soon as I have them. AQ's mishandling of this seller is a personal disappointment to me, since I was the person who recommended AQ to the seller in the first place. This was a mistake I will not repeat. I sincerely hope AQ corrects this problem immediately, and it fulfills the terms of it's agreement with the seller.

AQ finally paid. It only took three months and a series of posts on three collectors forums.

My Experience
I give part of my collection to Antiquorum, they sell the most of them on March 27th auction, I still waiting for the money, more than 200.000$. So Any interest to sell items, please avoid Antiquorum due his lack of guarantee.
I will report when the payment is received at this moment 64days instead of the contractual 45. An the Antiquorum management don't give any solid explanation. |

Antiquorum problems
Hard to understand, is you can't trust in Antiquorum dates of payment, the postpond to release the money arguing that the buyers don't pay in due time.
If you want to auction any watch please consult others reputed auction firms to insure payments. Lack of payment and delays broke the necessary confidence in honnestity (!!!) been that in the sales condition a specific clauses are stated. |

TimeZone is owned by Antiquorum so any negative comments will be removed from there. And yes, the company has a horrible reputation for not paying sellers...or their vendors. Or their people for that matter

First off I am sorry you are having to go through this with them. I too had a expensive watch near the 6 figure sum sell in the April 9th, 2014 auction in NYC as well. After numerous phone calls, emails and other contacts of being given the run around I send a final letter for my funds to be given in 48 hours to me via wire or I would pass the information along to my attorney. I shockingly got a called from CEO Evan Zimmerman and CFO Bruno Ayanian. They both made false promises of payment and interest and never delivered with a shell game by the guys from Geneva, Switzerland. A good friend and business contact of my mine in the jewelry business referred me to a friend of his for legal representation. My attorney then sent them a final letter as well and low and behold no results even then. After that, I retained him to proceed with a lawsuit for my case through the state of NY. Unfortunately according to you contract with Antiquorium and the state of NY legal fees do not get collected in the lawsuit minus a 9% per annum (9% per year) of the funds not being collected. My attorney filed the lawsuit and 2 weeks in they reached out to me personally for my banking information for the 4th time throughout this process. Obviously not wanting to be caught in a loop-hole or partial payment I forwarded all the information to my attorney. During the 3rd week of the lawsuit in they finally reached out to him via phone call and created a payment plan for my amount. I was give 65% of my sale (after their seller commission, of course) and the 35% remainder balance, court filing fees of $160 or so, plus my 9% per annum (date of the sale, till payment received) is suppose to be arriving soon. If you need a good attorney, whom is familiar with their tactics, and gets results done, please message me privately. I hate that this has happened to so many of us and I would like results for all dealers and collectors whom have their capital invested in pieces we commissioned for them to sell. Obviously I have only part of my attorney fees coming to me, however it was a lessoned learned and I will NEVER do business with them again.
