Normal Dial or Water / Age Damage

I bought a 1982 Rolex Day-Date and it was a great deal at 5500 with an extra bark bracelet (sold quick for $1450). that left me in the watch with the boxes booklets and appraisel for $4050. But I have been searching for the same dial I have and I do remember seeing them a while back but I cant locate them now. I did have a shop (snakes, but still knowledgable) tell me that it was water damage. I was planning to get the crystal replaced and change out the bark bezel. any insight???
