Great write-up! Two things to note:
1. I have also seen variants of the 16700 with the "swiss made" dial instead of just "swiss", although I can't confirm whether these are all service dials or if some of them actually came from the factory like that. 2. The 16700 is actually slightly thinner than the 16710, 11.8mm vs 12.4mm |

Below are a couple photos of a 16710 on top of a 16700. "A" serials were the end-of-the-road for the 16700s - these should all have "SWISS" marked dials. Could there have been some with SWISS MADE marked dials, maybe, maybe not - I am not familiar with any of the SWISS MADE marked dials except for service dials on the GMT 16700. I have seen GMT II 16710 "A" serial number dials with the "SWISS MADE" super luminova dials.
