Was just singing praises to this watch although I don't own one. Excellent review and good looking site.

Nice review

Hi,
Just joining the forum and certainly my first post. I just wanna say thanks for the excellent and comprehensive review.
I am trying to save some bucks and planning to get my first Rolex.
Now I am even more convinced that this is the only Rolex that I need.

Cheers

Cool Review, Thanks for sharing the link with us. The white dial Exp II was my first ever Rolex and I love it now as much as ever. It is my favourite watch. I also read your review of the BLNR and think both are quite accurate to how I feel about them also. Cheers.

I miss mine a lot. It is one of those watches I regret selling.

Interesting thoughts. I have just bought a new/ old stock 40mm Explorer II with red GMT Hand and white face. The new 42mm version was far too big and bulky for my taste. It was also a bit in your face with the orange GMT hand but I guess each to his own. I heard on the grapevine that watches are going to get smaller over the next couple of years which is good to hear. I guess all these big showy watches will end up as mantle clocks where they belong.

You can't be seriously referring to the Explorer 42mm as big and showy...

As for the OP, great review! I was particular amused by the Lego pictures.
