Warranty new Rolex

Some sites in Internet offer new Rolex watches with box, papers, etc. .. etc. .. and for example in one of them says two-year warranty offered by BW wich is the jeweler store.But if the watch is new would not have to have an official warranty from Rolex? What happen if I have to take it to Rolex for a question or something like that? Thanks.

The only place where you can be officially given a Rolex Warranty is from an Authorized Rolex Dealer...

Rolex does not authorize any Internet sales..

This is why reputable Jewelers, but not Authorized Rolex Dealers, will offer their own in-store warranties...

Larry is correct there. Only AD's are authorized to give out an RSC warranty. Other reputable jewelry stores (non-AD), will provide their in-house warranty.

In-house warranty can mean two thing, they will repair it themselves if you have any troubles. Or they will send it to RSC (on their expense) for repair.

2 years warranty? Are they kidding, that doesnt really seem like a company that stands behind a great product.

I would have expected a lifetime warranty for Rolex watches :(

Firstly when a grey dealer buys a rolex and then sell it to you , usually for a better price, they are not allowed to give the rolex warranty, so they give you there own dealer warranty.

ALL MECHANICAL watches/ cars etc etc all need servicing and repairs after time due to wear and tear. Its a fact of life with specialist products. If there was a liftetime warranty you woudl get every tom dick and harry claiming warranty work for absolutely anything and everything they could.

Well the Rolex warranty is now two years only,its used to be one year only.Even then Grey were offering up to two years warranty, and the warranty is very seldom needed except for perhaps very simple regulation.
But after any warranty period Rolex will quite happily take you money for service or repair.They will not care or need to no where you bought your Rolex watch in the first place.
