Thanks Kyle but the finish is the standard finish, I just go over it with the sunshine to keep the lustre, that cloth is really good for that, it is gentle enough not to alter the finish but excellent at keeping it looking new

mine is the pre "double eagle" connie, the lowly, quartz Connie, aka the (2nd) most expensive Seiko in the world. I saw 2nd b/c i recently saw a Patek in quartz.

Hey, it's still an Omega! Mind, I love seiko as well so your description is a complement I think

Just a thought, yours might not be double eagle but the perpetual movement was used in the non double eagle as well, is yours a perpetual calendar? If so it is the same movement as mine!

Every grit you could want on very durable cloth backing. They last forever, so far. The 2400 grit is perfect for restoring a brushed finish. Try starting with 4000 to see if will take out the bigger scratches. Higher 8000 and 12000 grits buff out to a flawless gleaming mirror shine.

I rely on these professionally as a guitar maker. They're great.

Yea, nothing on Seiko; please meant no disrespect. I just mean I wonder how much "genuine Omega engineering" i purchased in a quartz watch and how much was sheer markup. After seeing the other threads about horrid Omega service, I am starting to think "after the sale" isnt why I purchased it.

I like watches, period. Any and all. I just have my favorites. I just mean that its not an automatic and its not a Rolex, so some people I guess feel like they can hike their leg on my watch for all the things it's not. I love mine. And Cape Code shined it up to a similar luster as your D.Eagle.

Everything is non sence! All new Rolex watches can withstand up to 10 polishes!
And now they have laser welding so big dings can be taken care of.
Life is short! Live it and stop thinking about the watch scratch! )

I personally have had excellent luck with cape cod cloths for stainless steel, and 3M green pads for brushed. Worked wonders on my Speedy Pro bracelet/clasp.
