New 5212a
I’ve posted a handful of times in the past month looking for advice about consolidation and getting into a 5212a either through the AD or secondary market. As an update, I purchased this from a secondary source and received today!
I ended up trading an Explorer ii polar and Yacht Master 42 to get into it. As my collection is heavy towards Rolex and sports pieces, I think the decision was a good one. I’ll be excited to wear this with some regularity. Not to get too philosophical, but in my opinion this watch demonstrates the passage of time in a way that is hard to not contemplate. I wonder if the concentric rings of days, weeks and months will have a way of making me reflect on the year thus far and weeks to come before year end (family, work, personal goals, etc.) I’m not in a profession that utilizes a weekly calendar but I’m looking forward this one. Thanks all for your prior input!
