2 Quick Verification Questions
Just picked up a random serial 116610 LV.
Random serial = 8 characters long? The cyclops magnification on my LV is stronger than on my G serial 116613LB that I purchased from an authorized dealer. Font appears to be identical but the magnification is definitely stronger on the LV. Is this anything to be concerned about? |

If you purchased from an AD then you have nothing to worry about.

My 116613LB I purchased new from AD... The magnification is noticeably stronger on the LV. What should I make of this? |

Post pics of it including cyclops. If you bought from one of the trusted sellers here you'll be fine. They're "trusted" for a reason

If you purchased from a reputable seller here on TRF, I'd question the AD about the 116613LB

You should be able to see the difference but it's quite noticeable in person.

It appears to me that the magnification is the same, but the date wheel on the LV is printed in a slightly thicker, darker font. It is common for fonts on date wheels and dials to vary between models or even between different versions of the same model.

It could be as said, the datewheel is slightly thicker and darker than on the blue sub.

They can vary in mag as I havr noticed differences as well on other models. You have nothing to worry about. You are good to go. Enjoy.

I know I am getting old but they looked pretty good to me.
I have trouble reading the date on all of my watches. |

The newer (ceramic) sport watches have AR (anti-reflective) coatings on the cyclops. That's why the date appears larger. It's actually clearer.
