Gondolo - I love it!!

Hi all,

I have tried the 5124j on a couple of times now and am really impressed. I know it is not one of the most popular models but I am very hopeful this will be my next watch!

Would love to hear from owners of the Gondolo, a few things I liked:

- Yellow gold case with unique shape
- Nice dial with gold appliqués
- Curved reverse sapphire to hug the wrist
- Movement especially made for the case shape and great finish

Here are some pics of it on me and I have started saving so wish me luck!

Cheers
Anuj

Looks great! I prefer the white gold, but I love both pieces.

The Gondolo is not the most popular watch, but certainly a nice elegant dress watch.

That is a nice piece. I hear you might be picking up another stunning piece from a visiting member too so good luck with that, mate.

The gondolo is a perfect non-round watch to me: its curved case hugs the wrist making it a very comfortable watch to wear. Plus the case and dial designs carry an art deco flavor which I like. Personally I have a strong preference for manual wind watches, and this is certainly one of the nicest manual winds from Patek.

It goes without saying that we should buy what fits our taste, rather than popularity...

Congrats, I love the blue 8 days one, very cool watch, but your's is very classy, plus it changes from the usual PP incomings, to which I contribute as the 5712 and 5167R aren't the most original PP's around

Thanks - it certainly is very different to the other models, do try one!

I am on the hunt for a good deal so drop me a note if anything decent comes about

I think not.
It has been so popular in Turkey because of being the hallmark of corruption.

Yes I did - amazing watch! One of my favourites in my collection and I believe it has now been discontinued. Don’t hesitate- go for it!

It’s stunning. I have the beautiful G-001 salmon dial as post above, but I want this one too. When you have a Gondolo on, you just feel a bit different. Hard to explain.

A few years ago I would have not liked any Patek. now however, I am finding it difficult to find one that doesn't have charm or beauty in one form or another. Lovely Gondolo!
