I read the article recently, and I do agree it's a beautiful watch, I've thought many times about getting one. But, am I the only one who's a little concerned about the pretty sizable deviations and inconsistencies between different positions? If I recall there was a 15 second spread between positions, by comparison my Sub C has about a second difference max spread between all positions.
I love the look and feel of the 372, but it sure seems they have a little more work to do on the mvt. I also tried 2 Pams with in house mvts, both mvts had issues bnib. My 7750 based 24 otoh runs perfectly. I admit, I'm very leery of trusting their in house mvts just yet. It's a shame since so many of their models appeal to me, especially some of the 8 day versions. |

I won't loose much sleep over the rate results of the new P3000 movement. Without any sub seconds on the 372, it's hard to notice anyway.
Most 372 owners will agree it is one of the smoothest winding movement.

I've owned two OP in house mvmts, the 9000 and the 3000, and they've both been superb. Obviously it's tough to determine accuracy in a base, but my 372 doesn't appear to deviate more than about 10 seconds a week

Great article!
for me i wouldn't have thought of the 372 without the plexi, it's what gives it that character Quote:

I love the look of this one, but have to agree that I am also leery of Panerai's in house movements as well. Just seems (from what I see on the forums mostly to be fair) that it is a bit of hit and miss. Contrast this with Omega's inhouse 8500 and I think perhaps the issue is them trying to bring out too many new and different movements rather than focussing on one or two and getting it absolutely right?

I think that though the strap supplied with the 372 has an unwanted shine on it when new, it will weather beautifully!

Is the strap supplied with the 372 (or both) waterproof?
