Strap 7835 or 78350 for a 1971 6265 Daytona

Hi all

It's been a while since i've been here, but I also figured this is the best place to ask.

I'm in the process of acquiring a nice example of 6265 Daytona.
The issue is that the strap that it comes with is too small for my wrist. It's a folded link strap, which looks like a 7835.

As such and instead of going down trying to add links, I would like to purchase a strap for it with enough links (11-13). But can I use a vintage 78350 19mm strap? I can keep the end links on as they are, but is there anything else I should be looking out for.

Many thanks!
