WElcome to TRF! that is quite the first post you got there...

There is really Nothing about that watch that says ROLEX... I mean Nothing...

Not the clasp
...Not the bracelet
......Not the cheap electroplated metal
........Not the Crown
..........Not the Dial
............Not the Cyclops
..............Not the Date wheel
................Not the Cousin who gave it to you, who said it was a ROLEX
..................Not the Font
....................Not the Crystal, or lack of one
......................Not the Dial Markers
........................Not the Lume, and as you see by my Screen Name...I know a little about Lume
..........................Not the Hands
............................Not the Infamous 3135 Movement
..............................Not the Bezel
................................Not the case
..................................Not the PIP
....................................Not the Coronet

......................................So, Basically, when I say Nothing, I really do mean nothing at all!

However, I may be wrong.

The Best way is to Send it to Rolex Service Repair center for a thorough check.

I'm sorry, I rushed to judgement. It is real. You should take it to a watchmaker and have them replace that crystal, as this watch is VERY valuable. Insist they install a genuine SAPPHIRE crystal, as it will make this valuable and rare watch you have worth even more. Then ask them to sand it down to get rid of the protective silver layer. Expose that beautiful solid yellow gold that is underneath.

Or not.

It looks great. I'm really impressed. Ask if he has any more that you can have.
