I am pretty sure that this is not a genuine Rolex 1560 movement ..

I'm no expert in Rolex movements, and i can only compare with pictures of guaranteed genuine Rolex 1560 movements

As you say, it lacks the the 2 brown colored gears, but they can of course, have been replaced with after market gears ..

Does not look like any 1560 caliber I've ever handled... this is one I recently posted on TRF...

Fake movement IMHO - check several boxes.
Along with a fake midcase
And what type of bracelet could have those end links?

Does the watch have a date complication?

I have seen many fake Rolex movements (mainly 3135's) but never one as nice as this.

I beleive it to have aftermarket parts installed but the pearlage of the plates and overall fit and finish (of the photo above) lead me to believe it is genuine, or at least mostly genuine.

Based on the serial on the movement it should not have a date. If it does, it's a kit bash at best.

It's a real early 1560 without teflon coated reversing wheels
The oscillating weight is a service replacement

There were definitely legitimate Rolex bracelets that had those type of end links (vintage "brick-link" bracelets, etc.).

Thanks - I've seen the brick styled links but did not see the end links being like that underneath.
