I think I'm going to take the plunge and buy one on the grey market. If you have one, what did you pay for yours? year + condition? I'm looking at new listings in the low 40s, high 30s, with gently used ones for slightly less in the high 30s. I'm waiting to hear back on a quote from a store in Boston that can beat the prices from every other store in the area. What do you think I should realistically haggle the price down to?

Preowned should be 34-35 these days.

The trusted sellers here like Takuya had them unworn at $36-8K last year.

You can get them new for 35/36 from ADs - takes some patience but pretty regularly available.

I've seen the following in the TRF marketplace:

I-series or newer: BNIB for $39k, LNIB for $36k
H-series or older: BNIB for $35-36k
